Ultimately, even Lincler’s courageous, and pointless, sacrifice goes practically unnoticed by Rick, who was willing to sacrifice his creation for a “strong but fleeting high.” Throughout the episode, Rick does his best to avoid interacting with Lincler, encouraging Brad to beat him up over a misunderstanding and forcing Morty to bring him along on a dangerous quest to fetch “recreational” crystals. ![]() Off the bat, he serves as an example of Rick’s callous refusal to accept responsibility for his actions. Like most of Rick and Morty’s absurd ideas, there’s a lot to unpack with Lincler. Rick describes him as his “misguided effort to create a morally neutral super leader by combining the DNA of Adolf Hitler and Abraham Lincoln,” noting that the unintended result was a “lame, weird, loser.” ![]() Abradolf Lincler first appears in Season 1, Episode 11 of Rick and Morty, “ Ricksy Business.” In this season finale, Rick throws a party at the Smith household, only to be irritated by the arrival of his uninvited guest and unwanted creation, Abradolf Lincler.
